Top Coat by Hit the Bottle Polishes | Water Tight

"Water Tight" is a water based topcoat which is perfect to use over stamping to prevent smearing. It can also be used with nail art foils, holo polishes, topcoating over pigments (chrome, aurora, chameleon, multichrome etc). Also over some polishes were the pigment or tinter bleeds and affects the regular topcoat colour.

Just like any product, this one has limitations! Water based and regular (solvent based) polishes dry at different speeds. So this does not play well when applied over thick, somewhat still wet regular polish. Since the polish beneath can't dry properly. Solvent based polishes can take up to 24 hours to be completely dry, so in effect we are putting a thin coat of plastic over wet polish. The result is usually wrinkling. For this reason I don't recommend it over magnetic polishes, where we tend to use thicker coats. It's also not recommended between layers of stamping but more as a final coat.

It has a very thin consistency, much like milk! So only a small amount is needed, a bottle goes a long way. If you are familiar with dry brushing, then that's about all that is needed! You shouldn't really see the milkyness on the nail. If you think you haven't applied enough you can go in with a second coat, since thin coats of this dry quickly.
